This buffer can be used for antibody and cell dilution steps, as well as all the wash steps required for the surface staining and flow cytometry analysis. This buffer contains animal serum proteins to help minimizing non-specific binding of antibodies. Caution Sodium azide yields highly toxic hydrazoic acid under acidic conditions. Dilute azide compounds in running water before discarding to avoid accumulation of potentially explosive deposits in plumbing.
